Titlu proiect: IMAGISTICA BAZATA PE NANOPARTICULE DE SILICIU FLUORESCENTE - EVALUAREA TOXICITATII TISULARE DATORATE BIOACUMULARII IN VIVO PRIN ABORDARI BIOCHIMICE SI MOLECULARE

Rezumat:

Quantum dots (QDs) reprezinta nanoparticule ale caror caracteristici optice au trezit interesul cercetatorilor din domeniul biologiei si medicinei. Proprietatile fluorescente ale acestor tipuri de nanoparticule stau la baza utilizarii lor ca sonde fluorescente ce pot detecta biomarkeri specifici in vitro si in vivo, la nivel celular, tisular sau al unui intreg organism.  Nanoparticulele pe baza de siliciu sunt din ce in ce mai mult utilizate in industria alimentara, cosmetica dar si in diagnostic, imagistica si transport tintit al unor substante medicamentoase. Date cu privire la efectele toxicologice pe care aceste tipuri de nanoparticule le pot avea in vivo si mecanismele de actiune ale acestora sunt inca foarte putin studiate. Datele din literatura de specialitate sustin ideea conform careia nanoparticulele pot induce efecte citotoxice in vitro, in diferite tipuri celulare, in timp ce efectele in vivo sunt mult mai putin studiate. Scopul studiului este acela de investigare a efectelor in vivo induse de injectarea unei suspensii de nanoparticule fluorescente pe baza de siliciu, intraperitoneal la indivizi de Carassius sp. Ne propunem realizarea unui studiu compex comparativ in diferite tipuri de tesuturi izolate dupa expunerea pestilor la actiunea nanoparticulelor fluorescente pe baza de siliciu. Pana in prezent, nu au fost realizate studii in vivo comparative cu privire la efectele induse de nanoparticulele fluorescente pe baza de siliciu la nivelul tesuturilor unde are loc bioacumularea consecutiva injectarii intraperitoneale de nanoparticule . Bazandu-ne pe experienta noastra in domeniul analizei in vivo a stresului oxidativ indus de expunerea la metale grele si pesticide vom urmari identificarea unor mecanisme de citotoxicitate induse de aceste tipuri de nanoparticule la nivel molecular si biochimic.
