Project title: MOLECULAR EXPRESSION OF PROTEINS INVOLVED IN THE MAIN TYPES OF PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHIES WITH A DEMYELINATING COMPONENT

Project number: PN II 42-124

Acronym: NPD

Abstract:

The most frequently encountered peripheral neuropathies are the hereditary sensitive motor ones. Diagnosis is difficult because they are a heterogeneous group of diseases characterized by a progressive chronic evolution and the genetic mutations that produce them are numerous. The project aims to bring new data about the phenotypic and genotypic expression of the glyal proteins of the peripheral nervous system and to implement molecular biology techniques in the diagnosis of peripheral neuropathies with a demyelating component.
